Three purposes for this study were (1) to investigate effects of acute WBV exposure and exercise order on bat velocity; (2) to examine relationship between muscular strength and bat velocity; (3) to evaluate the acute effects of WBV exposure on muscle recruitment patterns during the swing. Recreationally-trained male subjects (n = 16; 22 {plusmn} 2 yrs; 181.4 {plusmn} 7.4 cm; 84.7 {plusmn} 9 kg), who possessed previous baseball experience, were tested for 1-RM strength in squat and bench press.
